Bold & Bright – Dawn & Guy’s Wedding At The Elvetham
Dawn & Guy’s wedding day was certainly a bold and bright occasion that was absolutely packed with personality! Held at The Elvetham, a gorgeous privately owned estate in Hampshire; it was an occasion that was so completely vibrant – a wonderful reflection of the bride’s super positive personality.
Dawn and I worked closely together before the wedding so I was sure that I absolutely understand her vision for the day. We shared a lot of images on Pinterest to make sure that I could bring to life exactly what she wanted to achieve with her wedding flowers.
The design of the bouquets and arrangements are actually very traditional – it’s the colour scheme that brings them to life and includes liberal doses of the hot pink that Dawn so loves. As you’ll see, there’s no foliage in any of my work for this wedding so the flowers themselves take centre stage. The bridesmaids carried hand-tied posies in the wedding’s signature colours whilst Guy wore a buttonhole of white freesias with a touch of pink.
The Elvetham is blessed with a gorgeous conservatory that’s light, bright and was the ideal location for Dawn and Guy’s reception. We filled mirror cube vases with compact domes of pink roses, purple eustoma and white freesia to make the most eye-catching centerpieces. The emphasis here was definitely on good food, friendship and fun and included lots of quirky details – the tables were all named about the couple’s favourite pubs!
The cake was also a simple but stunning showstopper and we added hot pink roses in between two tiers and popped a rose dome atop this fabulous bake by Tina at Cookie Creations. Petals and crystals added colour and sparkled to the cake table and as an exuberant finishing touch, we scattered thousands of diamante crystals over the guest tables too.
There’s no doubting the fact that this wedding’s colour palette isn’t one for the faint hearted by my goodness, it worked wonderfully for Dawn and Guy and certainly made everyone who was lucky enough to share their day with them smile.

When I first met Tarnia to discuss our wedding flowers I just knew I wanted her to be our florist! Right from the start, she wanted to get a feel for our entire wedding so that the flowers complemented every aspect.
