Elegant Pink Wedding At Rivervale Barn – Jenny & Garry’s Beautiful Wedding
Jenny and Garry’s beautiful wedding was held at one of my favourite wedding venues – Rivervale Barn on the Berkshire/Hampshire borders. I’ve had the pleasure of working there many times before (including this fun and fabulous wedding!) and as a wedding florist, I love the flexibility that this stunning ‘blank canvas’ venue brings. It’s perfect for couples that want to create their own individual wedding.
And that was certainly something that Jenny and Garry were determined to do. Jenny, our gorgeous bride, works in the wedding industry herself so had some firm ideas for her wedding flowers. From this starting point, we worked together, developing her ideas by choosing flowers and colours that suited the couple’s plans for their wedding.
The colour palette for the day was a delightful dusky pink and lilac and these feminine tones worked so incredibly well with the navy blue bridesmaid dresses and the navy ties worn by the groomsmen. The colours also suited Rivervale Barn perfectly; bringing light and romance to every corner.
Jenny’s bridal bouquet was a mass of roses in glorious vintage tones and the super delicate look of this handtied bouquet complimented her stunning lace wedding dress. As always, we ensured that all the bouquets were perfectly proportioned and full of immaculate blooms that would pass even the closest inspection with flying colours!
Lining the aisle for the ceremony, we used stunning silver vases topped with floral arrangements. These tall containers were incredibly eye-catching and again, suited the space wonderfully.
The beautiful vases made reappearance during the wedding breakfast too, placed on round mirrors on the table, which were dressed with a scattering of lilac petals and tea lights in cut glass holders. Jenny’s bouquet was added to the cake table and the long-and-low arrangement that had adorned the Registrar’s table during the ceremony was moved to become the top table’s centrepiece.
Jenny and Garry’s wedding day was an elegant and beautiful affair. Their choice of flowers, the scale of the arrangements and the colours were absolutely wonderful and I can’t tell you what a huge pleasure it was to be their wedding florist at Rivervale Barn.
